In September 2023, Modepack d.o.o. successfully completed the implementation of the EU project “Strengthening the competitiveness of MODEPACK through investment in green and digital technologies”, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, and through the call for proposals for grants “Strengthening the competitiveness of companies through investments in digital and green transition”,  reference KK.11.1.1.01.

With the implementation of the Project, investment in tangible assets was achieved to come to more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly production, increase capacity, and introduce new technologies and technological solutions for digitalization and process optimization. The project resulted in the preservation of 25 existing and the creation of 6 new roles, ensuring a 78% increase in revenues and export revenues by 60% and introducing 2 new technological measures and 1 new digital measure into business.

The implementation of the Project ensured an increase in production capacity by 20% as well as preconditions for further expansion of business through the construction and equipping of a new production and business facility. Two new technological measures were introduced through the procurement of a production line for paper packaging and a system for the transport and palletization of finished products. A new environmentally friendly product group has also been introduced, and the Company is now able to produce and market paper packaging, which ensures the diversification of the production portfolio. Through the introduction of paper packaging in the production portfolio, an increase in the share of recycled materials/raw materials to produce finished products is also ensured. To respond to customer requirements related to the speed of delivery and traceability of product quality information, a new digital measure has been introduced through the upgrade of the ERP system with the QC module, which enables a more efficient quality control system.

This investment will enable the continuation of the stable and growth-oriented business of the Company as well as additional strengthening and positioning on the domestic and foreign markets.
